Default 7.3L powerstroke slugish (HELP PLEASE)

I have a 2002 F350 superduty and it has now low end power when i am driving i can push the peddle all the way to 3/4 and the rpms will not change and the speed will not increase it will not pick up until i go past 3/4 with the peddle and then it will change gears and the turbo will spool up and it will take off like a bat out of hell it also eats fuel now I have changed the oil and the fuel filter and the trani fluid looks good I dont know what to do i dont know wether to take it to a diesel mech or a trani mech or try and fix it myself Please help

have you looked at your air filter lately and maybe have a boost leak is it smoking bad at low end of throttle some things to look for
