normal temp
#2
Tranny should run between 60 and 80 deg above ambient air. Anything above 200 begins to toll on transmission life.
Water? I don't monitor it so I can't say exactly. The PSD has such an efficient cooling system that I have not worried about it. If I had to guess, I would say the 210 - 220 would be a good operating range.
EGTs. They need to be measured pre-turbo. There is no normal because depending on throttle position, grade, weight, altitude and numerous other factors, EGTs can range from 300 to 1200 deg. I would expect to see while driving down a flat stretch of highway, empty with no headwind and just cruising, about 700 deg. Pre-turbo temps should be kept under 1250 deg, it can be exceeded for short power bursts but prolonged high temps will stress pistons and cause them to eventually separate.
