1999.5 7.3 hard start- need help
I recently acquired a 1999.5 f350. I have built and owned many dodges for work and sled pulling but am not quite as knowledgeable about the fords. I have been around them as my family has owned many of them but never have had many issues or atleast not this one so I am a little lost.
anyways, 1999.5 7.3 with 80k miles. when its coldish and hasn't been started for a few hrs it doesn't want to fire. and to me its not even cold maybe below 50 degrees and its coming up to winter and we can see -10-20. typically it can take around 15 min to start. not good or ideal. will sometimes hiccup like it wants to fire or sometimes just cranks. just sorta alternates but in no real order then all of the sudden will just fire out of no wear like it should. glow plug relay is new and good, cam sensor new, glow plugs seam to be good.
once its started and is run off and on it will run and fire great all day but after sitting over night im screwed. any help is greatly appreciated. maybe IPR, ICP, I don't know
