Default Lifespan of a 7.3 with low compression

I bought a 2001 f350 ccsb XLT Powerstroke Diesel last winter for $6,900. It has 270,000 and is still running on stock tranny and injectors. After fixing a broken push rod I was informed by the shop that the intake box had not been sealed correctly by the last person who worked on it allowing dirt in the engine causing the compression to drop to 295psi in one cyclinder and vary between 300 and 360 for the rest. My question is how long will this engine last me like this? I put in a Ford AIS intake, and do full synthetic oil changes every 4k. The truck started fine all winter even at -5 unplugged. Also, is it worth rebuilding the engine even though the truck has 270k on it? Thanks in advance. Mason

If it runs fine now I wouldn't worry about it till it doesn't. I would say most 7.3s last in the 2-300k miles range some last more and I have seen a couple with 500+ on them

Yes, it drives well now. Is there anything else I can do to get as many miles out of this engine before it finally quits? I know oil and air filter changes are important. Would it be worth the $600 to install a bypass oil filtration system? Also, I'm at 275,000 miles and am still running on a stock tranny that shifts perfect and injectors that fire fine as well. Granted I keep up with maintenance and don't abuse the truck, how long will my injectors and transmission last me? I know 275k is a lot on these expensive parts.

Just keep up on the maintenance. I personally wouldn't put money into oil filters or anything like that.

Injectors and tranny are just a craps shoot. They could go anytime or last another 5 years.
