I have a 2004 ford F-350 with a 6spd manual and a 5.4 gas motor. Could I swap the 5.4 out and put the 2001 7.3 diesel in, I have the whole 2001 truck with motor so everything I need would be in it. Is this swap possible?

The 7.3 will match up with transmission, I don't know much about the electrical stuff though,

 

I do not know about the transmission, I'm going to guess you need to buy a new one

 

In case I'm mistaken, the 2001 7.3 will match up with the 2004 ZF 6speed? Correct me if I'm mistaken?

 

If the 04 zf for the 5.4 is the same as the one for a 6.0 then no it won't.

 

Just have to change the input shaft

 

Does it bolt up? Other then the shaft?
