Default Waste Gate

Hi I'm new to this site. I've got a ts performance chip on my truck. I was reading through here and saw several people had a waste gate disconnect. What does this do and what is involved? Any info is appreciated. thanks

you can remove the red tube and plug it, it will bypass the wastegate and give you a little more boost
