are you getting buzz test failure on #8 or contribution test failure?

Its failing contribution test. compression check is free, injector isn't. You said you've already tried a diff. injector in that hole. you replaced harness and gasket, hopefully you inspected the connector and it wasn't melted. buzz test ok, no idm codes. if comp. is good id go for an injector. buzz test should have failed if harness was problem. To me it sounds like as your truck warms up it starts messing up on #8 so Id check compression before trying an injector

sounds like I agree with the compression test. If you havent done this yet then you should. Compression test basically makes sure that the seals around the piston are still good. Sometimes pistons get "washed out" meaning that the fuel overloaded the piston and broke your oil seal. It doesnt mean that the piston is ruined but it does mean that the piston needs resealed. Sometimes (like with mine) my cylinder got washed out and i replaced the injector. Well the injector was good but it continued reading bad even tho it would pass the buzz test(because the injector was good). Blatantly....compression test.

I hope you have already figured out your problem since this was lasted updated in april. If so, you should follow through with your posts so that if people have the same issue that can find a resolution.
