Ok guys, Im trying to help a friend that has just rebuilt a transmission on a 1999 Ford Powerstoke. And From my understanding the truck came in with a CEL, and after rebuild and installation it CEL turned off but returned and then the truck started to run rough, Missing and 3 cylinders 1,4,8 I believe. Then when we drove it will not shift, TC will not unlock, and OD light is blinking. Butt this is the best I can describe it, but Im lookin for help and possible advice. Were gonna check harnesses tomarrow and connections and clean them all but I do have a list of codes a mile long here they are.

I know two of these codes of for shift solenoid one, and two but both are brand new.. Im not sure if its just a simple issue are a Bad IDM, or PCM and the shop hardly has any tools to diagnose issues on these trucks, so anywhere that you can point me to will help but were gonna check the simple stuff tomarrow. thanks again!! once again a cummins guy workin on powerstrokes, but its experience gained.

 

Did you get anywhere with this? Sounds like a top of motor harness is disconnected/ loost or a missed ground.

Check the UVC harness.

 

Well I called them the other day to see if they made any progress, and they said they have not touched it and they are not going to touch it..So the owner gonna be really pissed. I dont know how the doors are still open in this shop but they are... So sorry for wasting time askin about this issue...
