i recently inherited a 2001 f250. it has the 7.3 with 202000 miles. idles very rough upon startup. knocks and shakes has no throttle rpms do not rev. after 5 to 10 minutes when engine temp rises to normal throttle is back and idle is much better. if it sits for a while same thing all over. truck has no power and kills if put in gear. please any help i know a little about gas engines but nothing about diesel

 

Does it smoke any on start up? Color if it does of smoke?
