I would first suspect injector O rings, as a WO guess.

HAS to be a hpo issue. And Im wondering if you dont have a valley leak, like say a HPOP, thats making you think its a pan leak because of the location of the valley drain

Hey all, I feel bad for not getting back on here sooner. I'm a member of quite a few forums so again, I apologize. Apparently the issue was an injector seal not seated all the way. After a couple heat cycles it returned to normal. Ironically enough, a couple months later the cam sensor finally pooped out completely, which by the way, even though it's hard to describe here, the symptoms are completely different in person. Lucky me it got done free under recall at 320k miles .

For anyone vaguely amused by this thread, the rear main was the leak, and for lord knows what reason stopped leaking on its own. In about January I pulled the tranny out to replace the flexplate and starter. Piece of cake job. I did the rear main at the same time. Here's where the story changes to what is more normal for my life...I put a transgo hd2 shift kit in some time back, and never got to install the couple pieces that go in to the front pump. I decided to do that while the tranny was out. I accidentally pulled part of the front planets apart and didn't get it seated back properly. On a 3 mile test drive I completed trashed the entire front planet assembly...so...tranny back out, spend more money on heavy parts, and back together with a smile. Since then recently it's been warranty tie rod ends (should have gotten moog instead of duracrap), ball joints, monroe rv shocks, kick *** tires, and rear brakes. Up next, sway bar bushings and radius arm bushings. When does it stop?

I did pull the ipr valve and check it back then btw.
