Default Manual to auto swap.

I'm curious as to what all is needed to change from manual to a auto. I think i have almost everything I need. My big concern is the wiring. Is wiring under the dash different? Thanks in advance guys!

only thing i know of for sure is you need auto ecm im guessin you should have a new harness for the auto to replace the manual but not sure what under the dash could be differant, on another note will that 5speed fit in my 99 with the harness' you have
why the h*&^ would you trade a 5speed for a auto!?!?

i think i have the PCM. the only thing i'm missing is the wiring but i can probably get it. under dash is for the O/D wiring. my 5 speed might work. not sure on the spline count on the input or output shafts. and then 3rd is gone, 1,2,4,5& R are chitty. well some days i'd rather have a auto. i prefer a manual when towing but that's why i have my 99. it's the tow rig. my 94 is just a around town run around.

ahhh i forgot bout the od, wouldnt think id forget bout it bein i had to repair the wires inside but bein around town dealin with traffic i can see what you mean by rather havin auto, i just like have a stick to have more control over the motor and power, if you have an auto column you should have all the everything you need if factory harness cus in the cab all the wirings the same be a stick or auto right???

the column its self is the same. the shift lever just bots on. or you bolt down the key release. i want to say all the wiring is there. like if you don't have cab lights you already have the wiring. or on my 99 i don't have the overhead console but it's already wired. but i might just sell it for something different. i'm still deciding
