boost gauge?

Default boost gauge?

where is the best spot to drill on my motor for a boost gauge?

just put a T in the MAP line. no need to drill.

If you want, you can drill and tap the intake Y that comes off the turbo and into the intake runners. I have mine T'd into the map line and it works just fine...

It's definitely quicker and easier than taking off the y pipe, drilling and tapping and gets the job done.

I also have a 1997 ford f250 with the 7.3l. everyone keeps saying to put a t in the map line for the boost gauge. Can someone post a pic or explain the best place to put it in the map line and where the map line is at.. Thanks

That picture is of a 99+ Superduty, but its essentially the same except our truck aren't intercooled.
MAP line runs from a sensor on the passenger side firewall next to heater core, to passenger side intake plenum.
Another advantage of 't'ing into the MAP line is if you ever crack the line you will know right away, and won't have to wonder why your truck is running like a dog.
