rebuilding an hpop
#11
You had to pay to have the turbo balanced, no? You will have to do the same for the pump to have it pressure tested. If you think you can do by all means go for it. Im not sure if I have ever seen a kit to rebuild one. I guess I like having the added insurance that my pump was built right and has a warranty behind it. Joey's pumps are very affordable

This is truly then what I was trying to get to, I am not one who can take a yes or no answer, I have to know why. So I guess I should say thank you to mysterync and joebob3093. I really just needed to know enough about what I am getting into to make an informed decision. I still am curious to know how they are put together and I guess, how stuff works. I just was not getting what I wanted so I needed to pinch a nerve. Sorry if it hurt, but I know enough to probably just send my old one back for the core. I am not scared to try it, but I do not have any really special equipment for stuff like this.(pause, time out for a google search) I just got back from a Google search on them and Joey at TE came up more than once, and also the terms of about $300. I would probably be doing good once I got it apart and determined what parts I should replace, to get them all found and shipped for that. I think I will hang on to my core for now, and think about getting it done when I have an extra couple of dollars around.
