the bowl is what the fuel filter goes in, it could be that you didnt get it sealed all the way.

 

I just bought a filter from Autozone and had to return 3 of them, couldn't get the dam thing to seal all the way... Should of gone with a different brand after the first time but no one around hear had one...

Anyways just start the truck and look/feel around the fuel bowl if it is leaking it's pretty obvious. And, look in top of the engine for fuel that's already leaked out soak that up so you can see if you're leaking more, that's also what you could be smelling

 

If you changed the fuel filter, then you know where the fuel bowl is.

Check behind the fuel bowl, there is a yellow valve there. They love to leak from, out and around that yellow valve.

 

So I calculated my fuel milage I dumped in 15 gallons and went 167 miles to my rear tank. That comes to 11.13 miles per gallon towing a flagged with a shitbox chyrsler on it

 

have you hooked the truck up to a scanner?

 

11 isnt bad towing, thats about what i get.
