Default question about a ts 6 postion.

Hello, I have a 1997 powerstroke and i was wondering about getting custom tunes on the chip, would i be able to get it re tuned with tunes already being on it? and has anyone ever heard of having 2 ts 6 postions in a truck? becuase a freind of mine has 2 in his and i was wondering what kind of diffrence it would make, thanks in advance.

Not sure about having 2 at the same time, but you can get a chip reburned easily.

i don't think you can run two. the "port" on the pcm is only big enough for 1

i know he has both of them hooked up i just dont see how. if you start to turn the second one up the rmp keeps going down and down. and when there both on 6 it lopes really hard.

He does not have two "chips" hooked up. Not possible.

It IS possible that he may have some sort of variable resistance injection control pressure fooler installed which will definitely cause a rough idle once the resistance is low or high enough (depending on whether it's wired in series or parallel) to cause the ICP to go through the roof at idle.

But as for having two "chips".....

Not gonna happen.

One "chip" on a stock 1995-1997 Powerstroke will barely amount to anything. Even if there were a way to install TWO of them, you would still be making 60-70 HP above stock - maximum.

Yes, there are many vendors who are able to reburn your existing chip with their tunes.

you can send a chip into someone and have new tunes burned onto it even if it has existing tunes.
Cody from PHPDiesel, "variable resistance injection control pressure fooler"- what is this and what does it do????

You've heard of these.....

10K mod
Edge Juice
Dr. Performance Workhorse
or
Any of the $30 *cough* chips *cough* on ebay (that technically aren't "chips"), but a resistor in a box.

i have tony wildman tunes and im impressed with them. i only have a TS with generic tunes on my dads truck to compare it too, but i really like my TW. i didnt do any research into custom tunes before i got mine i just got what my buddy told me too. talking around ive heard PHP makes damn good custom tunes.
