EBPV as an exhaust brake???

from what people are telling me you cant splice into the wire from the pcm, just cut the power completely from the pcm and run 12v switched power to the ebpv connector. im not sure what color the wires are on a 99 or where the connector is located. but on my 97psd its a grey/red wire that runs to a 2 wire connector on the turbo pedistal.

oh so you control if its on or off, and you just by pass the computer? does anybody know what color the hot wire is for the 99? so i just cut that one power wire and leave the other(ground) wire hooked up?

okay i read up above, but is it the gray/red wire on a 99? it says 72psi, about how many rpms and ect.. would this equal out to be?

how would i do a tc lockup mod?

yes apparently you can use the existing ground wire, im learning with ya here haha.
and no idea what rpm that would be at, nobody has yet to get back to me on if a high idle tune would hurt it or not, i just want it to help it warm up faster and for coming off the highway or down a big hill with my 22ft snowmobile trailer with 5 sleds in it hahaha
and the TC lockup mod, you just provide a ground to one of the wires coming off the transmission range sensor, i believe its pin46 on an e4od but i have no clue about a 4r100 like you have
so if someone could answer those questions that would be great, snowmobile season starts soon!!! haha

Dont keep it locked in all the time, really its just to keep the tranny locked when you want it to be, when you step on the brake pedal it sends a signal to the PCM saying that your trying to slow down, so it unlocks the TC. If you wire up the exhaust brake you want the TC to stay locked in to help you slow down, otherwise its pointless to have.
im pretty sure all you have to do is supply a switched ground, thats all the pcm does is open up a ground when it wants to lock the TC up

no thats probably not a good idea, your gonna want to be putting power to the ebpv, and a ground to the TC
