Default 4 speed on 7.3

ok so i didnt really know where to post this but here's my question. will my 4 speed trans from my IH 6.9 IDI fit on a powerstroke 7.3? also when did they start using an intercooler and could i try to squeeze an intercooler in my truck?

possibly... I think 7.3 idi just has different heads & injection than the powerstroke. I heard of one guy put a c6 behind a powerstroke, which c6's came with 6.9 idi's i think.. keep in mind mechanical to hydraulic clutch or vise versa

so the clutch operates differently? so i might have to change something?

my 7.3 powerstroke has a ZF5 speed which has a hydraulic clutch, I think the 4 speed you have should be mechanical. is the powerstroke auto or stick?

the powerstroke is automatic. i have the clutch slave on mine that ya put brake fluid in when it gets soft so i'm thinking mine is hydraulic

Do not put the powerstroke behind that 4speed... It will not last long.
