In simple terms, boost is a function of the fuel you are getting. To increase boost, you must increase your fuel with programming and/or injectors.

The question you should be asking is: How do I get more power (torque). Most folks start with a 3" downpipe. If you can afford a whole exhaust system, I'd go that route.

Why do you want to know how high the boost will go?

More boost doesn't always equate to more power. In terms of stock turbochargers on these trucks, you most certainly aren't doing yourself any favors by simply wanting more boost.

This is the 3" downpipe I spoke of. You will replace your stock flat downpipe with a round one. If you do nothing else to the truck, this will help. If you do more, then this is an essential first step.

I just found a diamondeye 4" off-road system for $315 on ebay (delivered). Off-road means it deletes the catalytic converter. Comes with a two piece 3" downpipe which will require some minor cab modifications (they all do). Also comes with a stainless steel muffler which you may want to leave off. The nice thing about these kits is they use existing hangers and are easy to install. A tip does nothing for performance and is only a matter of preference. I have no tip.-no pun intended-.

Post in the price quote section here on dieselbombers and you should get several quotes.
Ask specifically for one that deletes your cat.
