Default gear ratio help

OK guys i need some help, I have a 97 f250 4x4 automatic. I need help finding out what ratios in it. I run at 2000 rpm going 70 on 33x12.50's. I was told 4.10's but i don't think that is right. I need help quick. I have not had a chance to check the code, could some tell me exactly where to look? Thanks in advance for any help.

take your vin and go to any ford dealership. they should be able to punch in the vin and tell you *everything* about your truck.

if you cannot do that physically, there may be a way to do it online.

you have the 3.55. if you had a 4.10 your rpms at 70 would be about 2900rpm. you can also use this calculator to double check other things too, but i would bet you have a 3.55.

remember calculate the gear ratio, WITHOUT using overdrive as it is under a 1:1 ratio..

i have the sales receipt from my 1995 7.3 and it says it has the 4:10 gear ratio. but it was an extra with the truck. so it is possible but its more likely yoiu have the 3:73 gearing.

no OBS pickups ame with 3.73s. the only options for the F250 and F350 were 3.55s or 4.10s
