The new duramax may be a stronger engine, several tests have showed that, but I think either engine should be plenty for anyone.

 

But ford had nothing to do with he test......... They did not even supply the pickup....

Just saying.......... I like the Cummins Just not the Dodge... So I will stick with Ford....

Chevys make me car sick.... and they have more troubles then i need......

 

Let me start by saying, i grew up driving Ford diesels. learned to drive in a F350 7.3 Powerstroke, the my folks traded it for a 6.0 Powerstroke Excursion with a complete BANKS system upgrade which put 550 HP to the tires. Ford in my opinion makes the best towing diesel on the market. I now own an 04.5 Duramax and i love it. i can honestly say the i wouldn't hook up against a Ford unless i did some heavy moding to my DMAX. when it comes to the 2011 trucks Ford just in numbers out performs the DMAX by 10 HP and 50 LB FT of torque. but lets not get too carried away. there is a reason the 2011 Duramax was named the truck of the year for 2011 by not only motor trend, but diesel power magazine and 8 lug magazine, is because Chevy truly made a all around amazong truck for 2011. would i hook up a 2011 ford against it, probably not. but i still love my Duramax's, but Ford will always hold a spot as one tough S.O.B. Dodge on the other hand, in my oppinion, just can not compete against ford or chevy. but still who can't have respect for the cummins engine.

Go to Chevrolet.com and at the bottom they have a link to watch HD vs HD testing Chevrolet, Dodge, and Ford....as a Dodge owner I was embarassed. But Ford getting beat in every test by the Duramax put a smile right back on my face. Definately worth watching for all.

 

Go test drive a new HO cummins and then go drive a new 2011 Dmax.

 

Duramax all day long. they've proved cummins is at the back of the pack

 

Who has proved?? Real world is the test And really if your like me stock doesn't mean to much when you doen't leave your engine stock.

 

ok why would chevy post something that would make them look bad that would be kind of dumb to post something that someone else will see and think so the ford is better there or the dodge is better there they are going to make theres look the best so the ppl that see crap on the net and beleive it all will come and buy theres and make others look bad so they think they are ahead of the game im dodge 100% all the way would not own a ford or a chevy but hey thats me the next guy may be chevy or ford so thats going to be the best in there eyes
