harley i was just stateing what my buddy( who works at a ford dealer) had told me. he said he has had many guys come in from bigger corporations and ask if they had any deals on dodges for fleet vehicles and he has had to tell them no. But over the years he said he has sold hands down more dodges than fords to small business people and farmers. He also stated he is amazed at how many guys are actually trading off their newer fords 08 and up in for dodges. kinda tells you something dont it?????

From my first hand experience, I make a living selling Ford Trucks. YES Fleet/Comm Business is what I do, but I sell 100+ Retail units every year. I take in trade, just as many dodge and chevy's as I do Fords. All I EVER HEAR on the forums, is how terrible the 6.4L is it's SO NOT TRUE!! The guys that have problems will scream the loudest, but the one with NO problems very seldom get on to just post how GREAT their Trucks are. just my .02

kinda tells you something dont it?????
NOPE!!

Actually, it's the 6.0L engines I've heard catch all the crap. Especially the earlier ones. I can only give my opinion on the 6.0L based on what I've seen first hand. No less than 4 guys at the shop have had 6.0L trucks; ranging from 2003-2006. All 4 have had myriad of problems. Everything from toasted turbos to popped head gaskets to faulty injectors to puking HPOP's.

To be honest, I really haven't heard too much negative about the 6.4L, other than it's a thirsty critter (thanks EPA). Sure there was that little flame throwing "problem" when they first came out but hell, some people have paid a lot of money to get their hot-rods to do that!

Sorry, I was responding to his quote......

I was at the Ky truck plant, Feb/2007 (waiting for the Engineers to come up with a re-flash) waiting to pick up and then Deliver a New 2008 F250 to a Baseball Player @ his spring training complex in Florida. None of the "flame throwing trucks" were released from the plant as retail units, once the test trucks started showing flames during regen. Jon's truck was the First re-flash done, so that it could be released for delivery.

In reference to this #1 selling truck crap, i remember reading in a thread ;
"McDonalds sells more burgers than any other fast food chain in the world. Does that mean its the best?"

They sell so many because people trade them in every few years, before the nightmares start.

never said they were the best or the worst.... just saying they're #1 in the public eyes

and the golden arches are probably the most recognizable thing in the world.
