AM LOOKING INTO BUYING AN 08 6.4
I am looking at buying an 08 f250 with the 6.4 for my wife. I was looking at getting a dodge between the years of an 05 to an 07 with a 6 spd. But been doing alot of research and am really liking what I have been seeing out of the 6.4.. I would have never thought of getting a newer diesel, but with a tuner, exhaust, intake, and egr delete you guys are making a hell of alot more power with these things without breaking the bank. For what I have in my 02 dodge money wise, her ford is going to spank my ***. I am not brand loyal, for I have had 3 7.3 powerstrokes previously. I just like good ole simple easy power.

Everything I've read is that the '08 trucks get ~13-15MPG, maybe a little better deleted and tuned. The '09-'10 trucks seem to be getting better MPGs.
Nobody makes a 5" turbo back, just a 4"dp then into a 5" setup.
As for tuners it's all personal preferance but for MPGs and DD SCT or H&S get my vote.
I haven't heard a 6.4 that I would say is loud as of yet, most sound like an oversized hair dryer.

I just bought an 08 myself last weekend (My lovely mother totaled out my 06 6L) and have about a thousand miles on it already i am getting 19mpg on the highway and 14 in town. i have been doing some research on thoroughbreddiesel.com with h&s tunners, they have a dyno sheet at all performance levels for the xrt programmer which is runs the same programing but is more of a plug and play not plug versus change on the fly that i can get with mini maxx. I have decided on the mini maxx programmer for myself as i like to see more than what the stock gauge cluster offers, also i havnt decided on intake or exhaust setup since there are not really any tests that i have found proving one better than the other. I am leaning toward the H&S intake and flo pro exhaust. If anyone can point a direction on intake and exhaust it would be appreciated

I have an 08 F250 SD XLT and have no problems with it. I have the H&S Black Maxx tuner installed now. I had a Bullydog but it had no EGR delete function so I upgraded.
I have been getting 16.5 to 17.5 mpg with Diesel nr 2 this winter.
Before the EGR delete I was getting 12 to 14 depending on where I filled up. Now I only fill up at one station.
