Default SCT X4 7015C vs. Spartan Phalanx 6.4 vs. H&S mini maxx

Ok guys so I know this has been addressed before, but everything I have read is 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other. I figure if I put what I need the tuner for, then maybe I can get a more definitive answer.

I have a 2008 F250 6.4, with DPF delete and strait pipes. The sensors have all been removed and zip tied to the frame. I am not looking to race or go nuts, or even really tow hardly at all if ever. This is my daily driver and I would like to basically have a tuner that will delete the DPF along with the associated sensors so they don't throw codes, and will allow me to get the best possible fuel mileage. And no I don't have a lead foot. With that being said, I wouldn't mind having the option for a good towing tune and maybe one other one in the event I pull up next to a prius from California, with save the earth stickers that I need to ventilate with a little diesel exhaust.

I have heard the great news about H&S and don't doubt it at all, Spartan seems to be a close second (depending what thread you read) but I have to say I love the price tag of the SCT at almost a grand less than the H&S.

With my situation, do I need really need to spend 1700 on an H&S, 1500 on a Spartan, or will the SCT handle what I need?

I have heard good things about those as well. I spent awhile yesterday looking at the Torque tech ones after speaking with an "expert". I have to say I may be leaning that way now. Do you know anyone using them?

My Spartan is excellent, they make very good tunes and specialize in powerstroke engines. Also and hope this never happens but sometime it does if you ever have a problem their customer service is best i have seen anywhere in any industry. You talk to the people who design the tunes and know them inside and out. The only downfall is if you change tunes often it takes 15 to 20mins to do so. I know h&s is on the fly not sure on the others. As for SCT I have never heard anything horrible but no one really satisfied either. Keep in mind you get what you pay for and is the computers in the truck worth skimping on?

How many miles do have since the changes were made? I don't care about big HP gain just better mileage and hopefully getting 300K or more out of it. I can't afford a new motor , not racing either.
How much did your kit cost?

Not seeing many replies? Your original post is my exact question and what I'm trying to sort thru now.

What did you end up doing? Cost?

Personally have used a Spartan Dashdaq on my 6.4, absolute great all in one programmer for STOCK trucks. The built trans i installed into my truck **** the bed at 18k miles, narrowed it down to the canned tunes on the spartan destroying the pump and clutches from over pressurizing. You cant go wrong with the H&S or Spartan, they have the gauges you need in them while sct is just a handheld. Id go with a spartan until you start modding the truck, then go sct with custom tuning and keep spartan for monitoring. Be careful tho, the spartan 310hp is an ADDICTING tune my friend .
