You need to use an ULSD fuel and ULSD compliant additives.

Off road diesel is also ULSD.

You get caught running fuel with no road tax, they cut your ***** off.

I will agree with you, however, ULSD does suck.
oh yes im sorry, i was talking about the 7.3's, i forgot new ones have injection pumps, my bad

about the ***** getting cut off that aint no ****. I know a guy who got like $10k+ in fines for running farm diesel in his big rig for a small job and then he asked about the filter because the just cut it out and the officer said I aint payin for that he will come and cut it out and check everyday if he wanted to.

I hate cops and gov't workers that enforce stupid laws. He honestly just topped off to help a friend tow a load of hogs. Bullshit! Don't with farmers they feed America! rant over.

All fuel sold at stations is ULSD. The differences are the sticker on the pump and certification of the components to meet sulfur limits. The only pumps that still receive LSD are for rail and marine.

That is false. Sulfur is a natural contaminant of crude oil and it has no beneficial properties. The process of removing the sulfur is what affects lubricity.

Even still, ULSD has zero problems, its been in use around the USA since 2006 and the rest of the world for nearly a decade. If engines were going to have a problem with it, it would have happened years ago and fleets would have been the first affected.

The fact is the entire ULSD scare is driven by additive sellers and perpetuated by people that don't know any better. Remember the exact same scare happened back in the 90's with LSD?

9/10 for that rant

I feel the same way. I never have issues with local law enforcement or even state for that matter (heavy equipment operator/truck drive) but there are plenty out there with a chip on their shoulder about such things and will nit pick etc to hammer someones *** over laws created on faulty science and bad information.
