regular diesel for the 6.4L powerstroke
my question regards the use of regular #2 diesel in the 6.4L powerstroke for the 2008 f-250 model, instead of the ultra low sulfur diesel it calls for, i had my 07 F-250 stlen about 2 months ago, and im in the process of buying another truck, im thinking of another 07 because i know the truck pretty well, but do like the looks of the 08, any opinions regarding the diesel fuel for the 2008-2010 F-250, any info will be greatly appreciated.

Honestly this low sulfur **** is horrible for all diesels. sulfur is the lubrication for the injector pumps. but fords dont have injector pumps, so still its horrible for the injectors, take out the sulfur you loose lubricity. you can run the low sulfur as it calls for obviously but i would highly reccomend an additive. diesel 911, stanadyne diesel additive, others work as well. but i say the best thing you could do is run the off road diesel, the red stuff.

This is fairly erroneous information.
The guy is talking about a 2008 truck, which most definitely has an injector pump.
You need to use an ULSD fuel and ULSD compliant additives.
Off road diesel is also ULSD.
You get caught running fuel with no road tax, they cut your ***** off.
I will agree with you, however, ULSD does suck.
