The truck should be as is. It's not a lease return.

That's what I thought. The guy at the dealership was looking over the truck VERY close. I didn't buy the truck there - Ford makes the dealer pay for any "repairs" needed on the truck that the dealer doesn't note and collect for - and since I didn't buy it there that would be "out of pocket" for the receiving dealer. I was a little 'short' with him but also told him I understood why he was looking it over so close. The dealer I bought the truck at is 50 miles away and Ford being nice, let me return it at my local dealer. The dealer where I got the truck wouldn't return any phone calls from the dealer that took the truck back I'm just glad it's over and hope nobody else has to go thru this crap!

Thats odd IIRC a guy in TX that sued GM over his over heating Chevy. Got the purchase price plus kept the truck or at least part of the price it was over 30K I know.

Congrats!!! Starting the process here in Los Angeles on our truck. Will have to check regarding condition of the truck. Took more pictures today since it went back to the shop! Looking forward to the day I can post - Ford bought it back!
