Default DPF filter issue, not the usall issue either

I had my 08 powerstroke in the local ford shop to get the exhaust heat sensor replaced, the tech twisted the sensor off and it fell into my DPF and in formed me that it will cost ME! $3000ish to get it fixed, first question is with a new sensor installed will this effect my dpf even thought the engine light is on and secondly what action can I take to try to get ford to fix this issue??? thanks

I would get F O R D to fix the problem they created, Before I spend $3,000 on a DPF, I would buy a DPF/DELETE tuner & kit if your in a city that doesn't test your truck for smog
