Crabber0001 I run Rotella T6 Syn 5W40 and an amsoil bypass. Change filters at about 8thousand and oil around 16-18 thousand. you can not wear out good syn oil. just gets dirty,

Well it's not JUST the oil we want out of there. What about fuel dilution? I assume you must never let your truck idle right?

Wally world usually has it, but usually not a lot. Seems pretty popular, especially in the winter.

I haven't found the T5 anywhere locally. I can get the standard 15w-40 and the T6 5w-40. I went and got the T6 at Advanced Auto, knowing full well it was cheaper at Wal-Mart. I'm avoiding Wal-Mart at all costs. I paid about $27 a gallon for it at AA. Wally world has it for about $22 a gallon. It was a $150 oil change this go around haha.

OUCH!

I have only seen T5 at Wally World and Tractor Supply (had both 10w-30 and 10w-40 there) and they also had T6 for 18 bucks a gallon this month IIRC.

$18 a gallon? For T6? Are you sure? That's cheap...

4 gallons of oil @ $27 = $108, + $22 for oil filter (over priced again) = $130 before tax...

I'd pay twice that just to avoid going to Wal-Mart. I hope the place burns to the ground.

Shell 5W40 Full Synthetic Oil, 1 gal. - 8030635 | Tractor Supply Company

Yep 5w40, love the fact they have the old school bottle in the ad with the 2006 price. Looks like they are having a sale on all things rotella, the 15w40 was a buck off, the T5 was a little cheaper... and of course I just changed my oil right before noticing all this

They never have it on the shelf when I go, and when they do it's not enough for an oil change. I'll have to keep that in mind, but I HIGHLY doubt it's that cheap in the stores. Actually, I know it's not, I would have bought it last time I was there, I think they were about the same price as AA. I might call my local store just to see.
