Default Headgaskets for 2006 6.0

How much is a new head gasket job and should they go ahead and dosome more work, or just get by with the head gasket?

Default Left Coast Diesels bulletproof cost

I just left Left Coast Diesel with a $3,500 deposit to get my 2006 f250 6.0 bulletproofed. Last year when I had originally bought the truck I was quoted 7,000. Here we are a year later and the price had gone up to $8,900. After flashing some $$ we agreed upon $7,900 cash. Here is what they do , #arp head stud kit, cylinder head gasket, oil cooler , intake manifold gasket, tube assy turbo drain, d-ring for rail, hpop update, square bulletproof cooler, valve rocker gasket, fuel injector o-rings. I may be missing a few things but that should be pretty close.
Seems outrageous to me but after a year a begging my dad ( a diesel mech ) putting posts on Cl looking for a mech to do it cheaper , and finally looking for other shops that do this work and well there's Left Coast and that's all I could find myself. They do have great reviews so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Bay Area ca.

WHAT THE F#$@!!!!? There is absolutely ZERO reason for a shop to charge more than $5k including parts and even then they are making a profit. The job is not that hard nor that technical to double the price in a few years. It's not like ARP closed up shop and there are only so many sets of head studs left. Total bull $#!+

I just picked up a 6.0 f350. I wonder if it would be cheaper in Arizona. I would t mind driving out there.
