I would also clean your intake while its apart

If you tow a lot stick with 155cc or maybe 175cc, MTW stage 2 billet turbo, airdog 150 or 165, studs, gaskets, FICM tunes, SCT tunes, look at trans upgrades, oil cooler, egr delete, coolant swap.

Or you could get studs, gaskets, hybrid MTW turbo, keep your injectors, FICM tunes, SCT tunes. Then you would be sitting at 485hp with hardly any smoke, low egts, plenty of power, and your trans would be fine.

Scrap the analog gauges and get an insight from edge, scangauge, or dashboss so you can monitor engine parameters. Or get a scangauge for cheap and get the analog gauges too

I agree, except even with your first suggestion of mods with 155's or 175's, the stock trans should really still hold up to that without issue.
