what is the best alternator

my stock alternator wont keep my batt charged on short trips so i need to get a new one which one is the best i was looking at the 220 amp mean green but is 399.00 worth is or is there a better cheeper eone thanks

The best thing and probably the most cost effective is find a local place that rebuilds them, and they can usually bump up the amperage for you too.

I know a few guys who have got them here also: High Output Alternator, 200-250-300-350 Amp Alternators, high output alternators, GM,Ford, Chrysler Dodge Alternators
