Default ABS light on

My ABS light came on after driving in heavy rain with a lot of water on the road. It has been two days after that now and the light goes on and off. Sometimes right when I get in the truck and other times about ten minutes later after driving. My brakes seem to work fine and everything else is apparently working ok. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks in advance!!

Try removing the sensor on the top of the rear-end and cleaning it. Might want to inspect your differential fluid back there too, there's a good chance is full of crud now after going through deep water.

Well, I found out what it is. The sensor broke off inside the wire harness, but leaving the two metal prongs still intact. I cleaned the metal prongs and slide the harness with the piece inside of it from the sensor onto the prongs and the light went out. So I'm just going to replace the sensor since it broke off like that inside the wire harness. As far as the water goes, it really wasn't that deep. Maybe halfway up the sidewall on the tires, so I shouldn't have to worry about that as far as water in fluid goes. Although, it probably wouldn't hurt anyway since I bought it used and I have no clue when it was done last. Once again, Thank You for the advice!!

No problem! For future reference, both front and rear diff and trans case should have oil changed every 60k.

At least it's an easy fix for you!
