Losing coolant in degas bottle? Is it blowing any smoke? (white) Im still learning about these 6.0s myself. But as youll get from others. We all need to know more about what its doing? Mods? or anythign else done to truck? If your blowing white smoke your egr cooler is bad. That will make your temps peg and have a loss of power.

Either EGR cooler or headgaskets, doesn't need to be blowing white smoke. My guess is headgaskets. More often than not you wont notice the coolant burning as the combustion pressures are enough to force coolant back out the reservoir like you're seeing. As you shut it off and cylinder pressure drops, the pressure built up in the coolant system will force coolant back into combustion chamber, are you perhaps getting a little white smoke on start up or rough starting? Power loss tells me it's a pretty bad failure, but I'm just shooting from the hip here. Only had two sets of failed headgaskets and a couple egr coolers rupture, so I'm getting good at pegging down the symptoms/causes now

When my headgaskets went, it was coming out of the degas bottle too. It was also blowing out from the driver's side of the motor as well. I noticed this because the wheel well was soaked when I looked at the truck. Is it wet in the wheel well or underneath the truck at all after driving it?
