Hi I have a sct x3 and was wondering when i wanted to change tunes do i need to change my truck back to stock and then install the new custom tune or can i change from one custom tune to another without going back to my stock tune.

 

you dont have to go back to stock.

 

Correct, you can go back and forth between tunes. The SCT stores your stock tune for when you choose to put it back to stock.

How much do they cost? Is the custom tune a mode or do you take it somewhere to get a custom tune? Im in canada and im getting a delete on my 05 and am going to have to get rid of the code. I would like to know more about these tuners they seem like there the best for the fords.

 

Custom tunes are just that CUSTOM. Ou buy the tune for you truck from a tuner and use the sct to install it. You can do it by email or buy the programmer with custom tunes already on it.

That is wat i was thinking but i was reading somewhere that you need to switch back to stock before you go to a custom tune i will keep doing whai i am doing.

 

Whatever you load up just erases what was there before, so no need.
