How is the truck running?
there is two seperate oil systems the low pressuer LPOP for bearings etc ( this is what the gauge reflects) and then the High pressure system to fire the injectors HPOP

so it may have an issue on the low side without effecting the way it runs

Good link
I don't for the life of me get why people stray from motorcraft filters ?
specially when "diesel filters online" makes them affordable

ok changed the filter, turns out it was a motorcraft filter in there after all. i think it was napa gold fuel filters i put in. but i went on about a 30 min drive and while i am on the throttle the oil pressure is ok. but when i let off or at idle. it reads ZERO. so im thinking there may be something more going on, the pump its self? any ideas?
