My old boss had an '06 F250 S/C 4x4. The new ones were supposed to be more reliable, but his engine just tapped out. He put a chip on it for a while (not sure which one, but he didn't drive for long with the chip) then needed some warranty work done on it, so he reverted back to stock. The dealer reflashed the computer and he started getting better mileage, but now with only 88,000km on the truck I think his head and injectors went. It was a $5000 repair...he's getting rid of the truck.

The other truck I drove for work was an '06 F350 SRW with only 42,000km on it. That truck was bone stock. It was a crew cab long box 4x4, and for some reason it got about 200-250km less per tank of fuel than the aforementioned F250 S/C short box 4x4. No problems other than that in those first miles.

Mine is a 2005 6.0l with a Bully dog triple pup, 4" exhaust, egr cooler delete, 6inch lift with 37 inch tires. She gets 20 to 21 mpg on the highway and around 17 in the city. She has 118,000 miles. Other than recalls She blew an egr cooler (before delete) and oil cooler.

Year: 2004

Odometer: 126,000+

Power level if above stock: 550 ish

Problems: Had an oil leak at around 50k. Fixed under warranty (o-ring). 88k blew the y-pipe baffles, fixed under warranty. Electrical issue since I purchased it (in 2004 with 20k) Never took it in, now I'm kicking myself...

My truck is a great truck. We started playing with performance mods at around 45k and haven't really looked back. The truck currently has very little stock. The bottom end of the motor, intercooler and some interior stuff is all that really remains stock.

Default 6.ohhhhhh

04, auto, 24,000 miles, sct tuned IDP 130hp extreme tune tune, arp headstuds, hypermax gaskets, egr delete, 4 inch dual turnouts, aeroturbine muffler, 90hp injectors. When it stayed togather it was awsome , problem was I couldn't keep this one togather. Yanked the 6L and installed a cummins. I also have a 07 F 550 with a auto that has 55,000 one it now and it had the heads, turbo ,egr cooler, oil cooler and egr valve replaced at 23,000 miles. I has been sitting for a week and I went out today to start it and it wouldn't start. Lost #3 INJECTOR JUST SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY. It ran fine last thursday when I brought it home from work. All I can say is I'm looking to do another conversion. Hope no one is ofended but I am not impressed with the 6.0L
