I will NEVER use a K&N filter on anything I ever own again. Does that help? haha.

 

yep thx i will get that damn thing off my truck then never really had good luck with it can you suggest a good setup?

 

If you have the stock air box put that back on. Or you can get the S&B filter and put it on your K&N intake. Either one of these options will be better than the K&N filter. I would also get a non-oiled filter.

Honestly for trucks under 600 hp, the stock is the best setup you can get. It's just a PITA to change.

I ran my edge on lvl 5 as a DD for the longest timeand never saw egts above 1100*? And yes i beat on my truck, I've got lead in my foot, Diesel in my blood, and a race track playing over and over in my head, I likey to put lots of fuel to my engine and ZOOM!! God i love this truck, back on track but i never saw those kinda EGTs. Are you Towing on level 5?
