i'd start by cleaning the maf sensor, probably fouled from the oil in the k&n filter. use no oil on the filter or be prepared to clean the sensor often.
what size tires are on the truck?
how big is the tune?

How long does it stay at 1500*? How long is this WOT run? How much boost are you making? 1500* isnt too bad, ive seen 1800* before I let outta the throttle.

Also, Edge programmers suck. You would run cooler on a custom tune.

Ditch the Edge, get an SCT with custom tunes.

Clean the MAF oh really? That'd be a great suggestion if he had one on his truck. But he doesn't. Never really heard of one causing high EGT's either but whatever.

Another thing, not oiling a K&N is like using no filter at all. That filter is 100% useless without the oil on it. If you don't want to run oil on a filter, you buy a filter that is designed to be used that way, like an AFE proguard 7.

It's not a smart *** comment. Diesels need fuel to move, too much fuel they get hot. It's pretty simple. If you keep throwing more and more fuel at it, you need more air (bigger turbo) to keep it cool. If you want 600 rwhp and towing at the same time, save your money for some compounds.

In the mean time, you shouldn't be using any of the Edge's settings and towing 20klbs at all.
