Question 6.0 delete

I need a little help with the 6.0 delete. Had it installed and the kit mfg. said remove the egr valve and leave it plugged in on the manifold. great worked for about ten miles now can't get rid of the code. does anyone know of anything that is made to plug into the harness to give ecm proper code. I don't want or can't efford the power chip.

You will prolly need a sct or a superchips to take care of the code. I assume its a check engine light? Most 05 to 07 Fords need a tuner to take care on the code and light

The code is caused because the sensor in the EGR is no longer reading pressure. You can try measuring the resistance running through the wire on a truck with the EGR still in place and then buy a resistor from radio shack and solder it in line. May take care of your issue.

But more than likely since the pressures are constantly fluctuating there will still be a code since the inline resistor would only be simulating pressure at idle.

Just a thought, I have used this trick when installing aftermarket turbos on 04.5 and up Cummins with the electronic wastegate. Works like a charm on the Dodges, but it's a way different system.

I just left mire pluged in and bolted to the intake elbow.

No codes at all.
