I would check the FICM voltage and all the injector wire harness for chafe spots or shorts.

The FICM has to put out 48 volts to open and close the ingectors and can do many wierd things if it is bad.

There are several threads on several forums giving FICM check and repair info

Is the FICM expensive and do you have to redownload the program if replaced???

The FICM is quite costly. It is a dealer only part that I know of, and to have just re-flashed should be no more then $150.00 depending on location and dealer. have you made sure there is no shorts between the FICM and ECM?

Talk to Power Hungry Performance here on this site... They have and reprogram them. I do not know the cost off the top of my head, but that would be my first call. I would NOT go to the dealer for this part.

you can get it from the dealer yeah... but it will be more expensive, like CSIPSD said, talk to PHP and get one, will be cheaper and have a better program on it for damn sure

Holy mother of all things that are FORD....I am just going to fix my own....the solder job looks really simple...I think they use lead free solder so they break off easy.
