Pull turbo and verify the wheel isn't making contact, check and clean the turbine side. Check play in the shaft. Report findings.

Is the truck stock or are there installed mods?

I have checked the inlet all looks good. Seems to be normal play in the shaft. It still runs good turbo seems to be vibrating. I havent checked exhaust side can a turbo blade break off? its like its out of balance. I have a AFE filter,Exhaust and superchip flash pac on performance. Thank you, Larry

It might not have broken off but could be damaged. Are you sure it's coming from the turbo?

The noise sounds like it follows boost and when I shut it off you can hear it wind down. Like I said it also vibrates pretty bad I think. What could damage it? My son was towing a boat up a hill when he said it started and pyro never was over 800 deg. So he says. I have been told the bellows pipes crack in back of the turbo and can do this also. what do you think? Larry

Checkthe up-pipes out REALLY WELL for cracks. I had one crack on my truck at about 55k miles, out of the blue. It whistled extremely loud when I first started the truck to the point it sounded like it was literally screaming. I never lost boost though. I agree, check them out.

Might want to look into a different programmer too, but you'll realize that if you just read around here a little more.

Ok removed turbo, turbo blades on exhaust side looks like something got in there. the tips of the blades are all tore up. why did it do this? I cant find any foreign matter. was it over heated? I have my pyro on the down pipe right at the turbo and it never gets over 800 deg.
