blowing fuses
Alright guys and gals need help again! I left my 03 at the airport for two days when i shut it off everything was fine picked it up last night and now the airbag light wont shut off and the exterior lamp fuse keeps blowing it was a 15amp fuse I bumped it up 5amp at a time til i was using a 30amp fuse. Any ideas?
Do NOT use a larger fuse than what is recommended, you will burn something else, more expensive out, or start a fire. There is a short somewhere. Someone with more electrical knowledge will hopefully help you.
Because you left the truck unatteneded for two days, you're going to have to think out of the box to solve this Scooby Doo Mystery. All options, regardless of how far fetched should be considered.
Was the truck hit or vandalized while in the airport parking lot? I don't know what it takes to set off the airbag or pop the light, but that is what I would check first. Maybe someone broke in and tried to steal the airbag and dicked up the column.
BTW, putting in a larger fuse IS a good way to a fire or bigger problems. There's a reason that they are rated as they are.
