Head Stud Question
#2
No. The studs will come with new directions. The stock stuff uses torque numbers until a certain point, then switches to torque angles, meaning turn the breaker bar 90 degrees, then next bolt. The studs use straight torque specs. FOLLOW THE RECOMMENDED TORQUE SPECS OF THE STUD MANUFACTURER. Some people seem to think it's a good idea to go above that... and well... it's not.

they tell u how tight to torque it for a reason. if u look at arp im sure they tested all different levels of torque and found whatever level they use is best.
now i am sure that u have a little bit of play in the numbers just in case u give it one click more than it needs but still...its like hunting...missin the dot by a little can still be a kill shot but miss the dot by to much and ur gunna be trackin...

ARP has a new lube out though that lowers the highest torque to 210 ft/lbs, and is much more consistent than the old stuff or anything else you can get. If you use the new lube and go to 245, you will yield the studs to the point they might snap.
