Steering
#2
on top of the steering box there is a screw with a lock nut on it. loosen the lock nut and turn the screw, but i don't remember which way you turn it. i think it is in. becareful when you do it because if you turn it in to far your steering will loose "memory". as in it won't straighten the wheels out after making a turn when you loosen your grip on the wheel. we did it on my dads truck one of the work trucks i drove. my truck needs tightened up too. hope this helps.

For easier access, remove the tubing from the inner-cool to the intake elbow. This is as simple as removing the two band clamps. Otherwise, it's a real pain in the butt I found this out when I was installing my Banks Techni-cooler.
Loosen the jam nut, twist inner hex nut clockwise some, tighten jam nut while holding the hex in place. You should be able to feel the lack of slop even without running the motor. Re-assemble plumbing and give it a road test.
You don't want to go too tight, it will put excessive bind/wear on the worm gear thus making it difficult to "self center".

We put a used lift on my buddies truck and the guys that helped him put it on used a "worn out" pitman arm and on top of that I'm not sure how tight they put the nut for the pitman arm. I'm just saying it's an easy point for a "slop" to happen. Just something to check.
Sounds like these other guys have the fix for your problem, I was just trying to offer up a different possible solution.
