i've been talking to the the local shop in my town.. Jefferson State Diesel. They are pretty popular with Diesel Power Mag and the head mechanic owns the 5150 truck and he says a smoke switch will not ruin anything, just fools your truck into thinkin it needs to work harder therefore having extra unburnt fuel. my friend did it in his 6.0 and has drove a full tank of gas with it on and had nothing bad happen. i wish i could tell you how to do it but my friend did say it was easy, only took likt 10 minutes..

to blow smoke you need more fuel than air plain and simple , i love the smoke but it has to be controllable and ive been on the wrong side of that ! its no fun then ... and your stuck with a bad tuned truck , so you shouldn't bomb for smoke you wont be happy after a few weeks . bomb for performance and the smoke will come with it
