Another coolant issue
I have a 04 6.0 litre headstudded with hypermax gaskets and arp head studs about 2000 miles ago. EGR cooler delete done about 2500 miles ago. Problem is it is starting to blow coolant out at radiator cap on degas bottle (just like it did before). I am running SCT custom Tunes by Elite Diesel Eng. Anyone have any ideas as to why. Hopefully not headgaskets again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just learned while i'm in the process of getting my rig ready for studs and egr delete, that the oil cooler has been known to cause degas bottle "puking". you'll need a scanner with data readouts, while driving with engine and all systems full temp, drive the truck with the coolant temps and oil temps displayed, under load or at any given time, the temperature difference between coolant and oil should never exceed 25 degrees,if it does you'll see the "puking" at the same time, if temp difference is 25 degrees or more, than your oil cooler is clogged and ready to be replaced..I learned this from a certified Ford diesel tech that is a good friend of mine. I'm getting studs and delete done next week, at the same time, I;m having the oil cooler replaced as a little insurance, although the oil cooler is not cheap - about $600 for part. Hope this helps, and at the same time hope it doesn't if you know what I mean.
