So a week ago i noticed a small leak from the fuel bowl in my 06 f250, bought and installed a new oil and fuel filter housing, left out the gasket around the spring so leak was worse. Drove it 30 miles to work and on my way home the fuel bowl cap oring split causing fuel to spray everywhere. Truck then shutters, and dies. I put the gasket in place, changed to an aluminum cap with pressure test port and would crank and after 20-30 sec long crank it would reluctantly start run for 15 seconds then slowly wind down and die. Knowing nothing about diesel motors at all i dove in and tore the top end down , replaced stc fitting, ipr valve, ficm reading 48.4, replace icp , oil pressure sensor, got it all back together and now it cranks but wont start. I have an egr code p0405 , code p1000, u2013 compass mod code, u1900 CAN communication bus fault and its saying my vehicle security module failed. Any help would be grately appreciated, im at the point where a can of gas and a match would be considered help

 

My guess is the can bus but I'm not a mechanic. That's a lot of fault codes did you get FORD sensors? knock off clones are prone to fail right out of the box.
