This is not the normal transmission problem. The issue I am having is that once in a while I'll try to go from Park to Drive and the gear shift won't move. I'll have to release the brake and place my foot on the brake harder to get it to release.
Is there an electrical switch that allows the gear shift to be released or is it mechanical? It hasn't left me stranded yet, but I feel that it is only a matter of time.
