Default 05 6.0 no start

the other day it took more than a few extra cranks to start it. drove 20 minutes to the gas station, went to start it back up, and got the no start. had to have it towed home and it still will not start. I have had problems with it cutting out and running rough here and there in the past but it always cleared up and ran smooth. i will be putting a meter on the FICM to make sure i am getting 45 volts plus while i am cranking it. I have heard of the FICM making the truck run rough but not a no start. I am really hoping i do not have to get into the hpop or ipr. any other ideas? it has 183k miles on it and stock.

Have you removed the STC fitting, yet? The pipe that leads from your HPOP to the branch tubes has an upgraded version...they removed the Snap To Connect fitting from this newer version entirely, so it's a straight pipe. The STC fitting in the original has an o-ring that tends to either leak excessively or blow out completely.
Another highly likely possibility is the dummy plugs...have these ever been upgraded? This part also has o-rings that tend to leak. Over time, they get old and rigid and tend to leak. The newer version of this part has teflon spacers next to the o-rings that compresses the o-rings, making them seal better.

My '06 left me stranded after running into a fast food joint in 2010 (mileage was about 80,000). 10 minutes later, crank, crank, crank...no start. High pressure oil leaks are a thing of the past (till the next time...it has 115,000 miles.

the FICM checked out to be good. I am in the process of pulling the turbo to access the HPOP, STC, and IPR but i need to pick up a swivel socket tomorrow to finish getting the turbo off.
