Default 500hp DD

2004 f250 10/03 built date....ok so im shooting for 500hp i got egr delete oem gaskets arp head studs updated oil cooler updated dummy plugs sct with mpt bazooka tune afe cold air intake 4in straight piped s&b intake elbow coolant filter

i figured im about at 450hp right now with my current set up and cant really afford injectors or turbo for awhile plus everyone i know that went with bigger injectors has slipped there trans very badly till it finally left em stranded
so my next question is what can i add to get close as possible to 500hp ficm tune or 58v ficm?? which is better or both?? boost builder?? does the blue spring help that much??

Tuning could get you there but it's a hard climb. Plenty of history shows you can't get to 500 without spending a lot more money.

SCT tuning will work great on stock injectors. I'd suggest the PHP FICM tuner for FICM tuning. Maybe consider getting the FICM beefed up thru a rebuild before spending for a 58v. The boost builder doesn't do sqat.

I'm not real certain about the 58V FICM. Thing is, the FICM seems to be under load producing 48V, let alone 58V. PHP FICM tuning might help you out on that one.

I have the Looney tune, and I love it. The drivability is dramatically increased, and the power is awesome. She doesn't recommend the Looney Wild w/o head studs installed. The only downfall I've found with it is that my EGTs are much higher than I'd like (my pyro might be too far in also).
I recommend a fuel pressure gauge before going with the Blue Spring, because I did it backwards and found the spring put me at 90. When I swapped back to my stock spring, I was sitting happy at 70. I'm 4" straight piped to dual 5" stacks, coolant filter, stock everything else.
Good luck with your build
